I just completed some cleanup and compatibility work on the great GhostTrails plugin project for 3ds Max 2017 to 3ds Max 2025.
Thanks to Andrew Reid ‘s generosity the source code for this plugin was published a couple of months ago on github. I took the plunge and fixed some 3ds Max 2025 incompatibilities and restructured the project to make it more easily adaptable for future 3ds Max releases.
The project builds all versions back to 3ds Max 2017, even back to Max 2014 would be possible i guess , but i did’nt invest more time in this. Of course the old VS target platforms have to be installed and detected by VS 2022 to build for older 3ds Max versions
The builds for 3ds Max 2017 up to 3ds Max 2025 are available on github
